Senotherapeutic properties of Malaysian plants targeting senescent mesenchymal stromal cells
Assoc. Prof. ChM. Dr. Liew Sook Yee, MRSC · Universiti Malaya
Exploring Malaysian medicinal plants as senotherapeutic agents against senescent MSCs, which contribute to ageing and chronic disease. Using dereplication-guided phytochemical profiling and human MSC senescence models, the project identifies compounds that reduce cellular senescence and inflammatory SASP factors. Inno Therapeutics contributes cell-based screening and translational assay platforms to build preclinical evidence for new plant-derived therapeutics.
- Exosomes · Neuroscience
High-yield production and in vivo evaluation of H9-derived human neural stem cell exosomes for neurodegenerative disease
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Suat Cheng · Universiti Sains Malaysia
Neurodegenerative disorders are rising, with limited treatment options. This collaboration explores regenerative approaches for neurological disorders, combining both institutions' expertise to advance next-generation technologies that promote neural repair and functional recovery.
- Mitochondria · Healthy ageing
Exogenous mitochondria in regulating senescence of human dermal fibroblasts
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daniel Law Jia Xian · Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia
Cellular ageing drives the decline of tissue function and age-related disease. This research targets the mechanisms of cellular ageing to promote cellular health and rejuvenation, advancing therapeutic strategies for healthy ageing and future clinical applications.
- MenSCs · Fertility
Menstrual stem cell research
Prof. Dr. Lee Ping Chin · Universiti Malaysia Sabah
Isolation, characterisation and expansion of menstrual-derived stem cells, with clinical input from Sabah Care Fertility & Specialist Centre, to harness their regenerative potential.
- Sustainability · ESG
A sustainable laboratory plastic waste recycling framework for biotechnology
Dr. Sakunie Sawai · Zero Waste Malaysia & Recircle Malaysia
Establishing collection, decontamination, segregation and recycling of laboratory plastic waste in a regulated biotech manufacturing environment, while measuring waste diverted from landfill and estimated carbon reductions to support ESG reporting and wider adoption across the life sciences.
- Molecular biology · PCR
Technology partnership in molecular biology & PCR services
Hangzhou Yooning Instrument Co. Ltd · REVO Science Sdn. Bhd.
Selected scientific instruments and complementary technical expertise that extend our molecular biology capabilities and support PCR-related services for research and biotechnology applications.
